All of us got along fine before the current trend of hiring people to “look at” properties became fashionable. Despite being a Feng Shui practitioner, I often tell people that if most of the things in their life are going fine, let things be. Human beings have a fine way of balancing things instinctively and if one has found that balance, it’s great.
This article is meant especially for those practitioners who think that Feng Shui begins and ends with providing the client with a “good flying star chart”, and practitioners who are under the mistaken notion that “the advanced level” of Feng Shui knowledge is knowing all about flying stars.
This could not be further from the truth. This, one believes, should put your client on his way to his next million. Right?
Wrong.
How much one can really change with Feng Shui?.....
Early into my exposure to Feng Shui, I started hearing about the mysterious “water dragon”, generally in hushed tones and it made me wonder what all the discussion was about. It appeared to be the magical formula for wealth creation in an instant.
When you are new, you soak up everything like a sponge and I was no different. So I looked for the information and I share here what I found, without naming the sources and without comment:
How often have you noticed that a renovation or repair has begun and with it, a host of unforeseen and uncalled for problems follow? In my 18 years as an Interior Designer, I came across this ever so often, till finally, I found the explanation when I commenced my Feng Shui studies.
Why does this happen?
Each year there are certain directions that are considered INAUSPICIOUS. If these sectors of a property are disturbed, then they will tend to exert their evil influences. For this reason, one cannot repair, use or renovate these sectors. These occurrences are referred to broadly as “shars” or “afflictions”......
What is it for?
Each year a certain direction is said to be “afflicted” and is known to bring negative energy known in Feng Shui terms as “Shar Qi”. In order to avoid the ill effects of this negative energy, a salt water cure is known to be useful to suppress this negativity. Technically, this phenomenon is called the visiting annual star #5.
The size of the salt water cure depends on the size of the area to be treated.
How do I get one?
The traditional saltwater cure can be easily made, very economically at home. You take an appropriate sized container filled with kitchen salt to the brim......
This analysis in no way assumes that the principles of Feng Shui were applied to build the Taj Mahal. I am applying the principles of Feng Shui to ANALYSE this monument. It is what I call “Inadvertent Feng Shui”, when the rules apply without intent.
Born in 1593, Mumtaz Mahal, wife of Shah Jahan is the world’s most celebrated beauty for only she has a wonder of the world dedicated to her beauty. As the story goes, her beauty captivated her husband when she was a tender 14 years of age, when he spotted her selling bangles in a market place. They married five years later when she was 19 and he was twenty.....
I would like to give you a gist of my background, to reassure you that I am not a magician, nor a charlatan. Neither am I from a family of palmists or astrologers. I am a doctor’s daughter and I grew up in a household that had three doctors of various specialties that spanned two generations. My husband is a serious businessman doing normal boring business. Until a while ago, I was an equally dull and boring Interior Designer, pretty busy and reasonably successful in my own way.
Then, how did I get here? Is what I am doing hocus-pocus?...
