Towards the end of 2020, a client approached me with a whole set of problems, (not money though) and primarily the issues were health and relationship based.
A visit to the home and office building gave me the answers, and I had to ask them to move out of both home and office. Something I hardly ever do.
Moving out of their beautiful home, and building a new one from scratch was readily agreed upon once I was able to identify the underlying problems and the new house construction is under way, racing towards completion in Period 8 with Period 9 compliance.
But this is about the office.
Housed in a tower that dominates the skyline of the city, moving was a potential hornets nest but since I was able to clearly outline the issues they faced and relate them to the building, they agreed to move to another area.
The building had three issues.
1.One was a curved blade sha that hit the sitting of the building that sat South East. With the 5 in the south east coming the next year In 3 months, we had precious little time.
2.The second issue was the central core that had the elevators and utilities and there was nothing we could do about it. Hence the suggestion to move out or break up each floor into individual offices, but honestly they own all the businesses and the whole building so that would have been a merely cosmetic change.
3.The third was the entrance in the northeast with massive bodies of water courtesy some Vaastu consultant suggested. God bless them though for the amount of business they create for me.
We met late October 2020. The client asked what sense it made fixing the building they would be leaving and my response was as usual, you need to fix what you can to make the move easier.
I have to say they were co operative and working against time, they’ve reconstructed the facade of this 30 storey structure to make the entrance of the building move from north east (direct spirit and awful 8 mansions) to north.
Including moving the access gates. They shut off all the offending water and the result is effortless and beautiful like it was meant to be this way.
We fixed each floor and their personal offices and homes.
Long story short, and this is what happens when the Feng shui is good, they acquired another building in another location slightly out of city limits. A month later some local law changed making it cost effective from the taxation point for their kind of businesses to relocate outside the city.
They would have had to move anyhow. Just did it sooner on my advice for Feng Shui reasons. After the new laws, the prices in the new location shot up and they were at a distinct advantage as they had paid much much less. So in that aspect something worked for them.
We are working hard on the relocation that’s almost complete now.
But destiny repeats and does not leave you so they just acquired the adjacent building that has God help us, central core. Like the building they left. So tomorrow they whole process starts again of how to break up the space ….. ……. To avoid the central core!
My sketch is poorly drawn but should give an idea because I cannot share the real plans obviously.
This is an interesting, and so simple to understand, Case Study. It is a great example to demonstrate the much spoken about concept, “forms kill first”
This very wealthy family made a lot of money in the software business, and the next logical move was to acquire a Mansion to show society that they had “arrived”. So they sought out this house with the help of a Vaastu consultant, in a very prestigious part of Dubai, Emirates Hills, and decorated it beautifully and expensively, I may add, and moved into this house 10 years ago. In the early years they did not notice but a couple of years in, they started to feel a decline in their fortunes, and over a period of time slowly & systematically lost everything.
Ten years later, they had racked up tremendous debts and needed to sell this home to recover part of their losses and pay off their debts. Unfortunately not even one buyer has shown interest or even come to see the property since they put it on the market two years ago.
Their friend suggested to them to consult me, and since my son was getting married at precisely that time, I relied on my photographic memory of the neighbourhood and google maps to find a quick solution.
This inability to sell was very strange to me, because their property is located in a market I am very familiar with. Emirates Hills Dubai, where homes are being sold at top speed at outrageous prices, some sold even before they are officially in the market.
So I asked her to send me the layout plan & the date and time of birth for their BaZi details..
These aspects were visible just from google maps:
I did not bother to check anything else or the internals and am sure there was a lot more of a mess inside, since they had Vaastu (Indian version of Feng Shui) approval that disregards Gua and gives generic directions, sometimes by just looking at where the sun rises to figure orientation, without even using a compass, (I swear I have witnessed that, no disrespect to the subject, just some exponents) and since they were not living there, it was irrelevant.
In a hurry this is what I suggested. Do excuse the handmade sketch, it is for protecting the privacy of a client.

4 South East

These three numbers are connected and work in tandem.
This month we had the annual, monthly and LuoShu # 1-4-7 in each of these 3 palaces so it is a good time to move/sell/rent property, this is the super power of these numbers when they come together.
We asked her to place massive water containers in each of these 3 sectors. I sent her the amazon link for the correct size so no back and forth, gave her a date & time carefully chosen, told her the price at what it would sell (1 million short of her expectation) and for practical reasons asked her to place the containers (270 liters each) in the positions a night before, at the hour suggested start and filling them halfway so all the 3 fill in the two hour period that we selected, and can finish topping them up later. Yes it was a lot of water & would take a long time to fill with one hose and a lazy gardener.
So what happened? I forgot to bill her, and because of the excitement of my sons wedding, I totally forgot about her. All this was done on the 9th. Today I get a call. She says, After 2 years someone expressed interest a couple of days ago, on the 11th, I think, and today she closed the deal at exactly the amount I had mentioned. Strange? No. Expected, that what we do, all in a day’s work. In our world 2 plus 2 adds up to 4, very predictably.
While I am trying hard to be modest, it’s hard not to feel smug when stuff like this happens.
Taking a look at the owners BaZi, it was relevant that the owner had entered a heaven & earth clash to their month pillar at the time of buying this house. The absolute worst kind of clash is to the month, it is never just the house, it is always the 3 kinds of luck that come together to create a kind of outcome: the BaZi (heaven) and house (earth) combine to make a bad decision (man)
Sometimes a proposed Feng Shui visit turns into something totally unexpected as was the case I am about to discuss.
In my recent trip to the USA, this was by far the most unexpectedly fascinating case I covered and has a really unusual outcome.
As usual, I cannot discuss names, locations or any personal details so you will have to manage with a hand drawn tracing as your reference.
The issue: Both father & son have found it hard to move on after the loss of their wife/mother, who died a decade ago of cancer.
The property: A condo located in a North sitting building, with the main building entrance facing the south, a huge Ming Tan in the South, but the condo main door is in the North.
The clients are two males, father & son both Gua 9.
What’s baffling: Son, who has the issue, (no partner, depressed & could do better at work) sleeps in the SE room, Sheng Qi if one looks at the house 8 Mansions, which in a N sitting house is pretty good, basic 1-4 combo (door and room) good for relationship but no girlfriend in sight. Head in E 2, also his personal Sheng Qi direction.
Father also seems “stuck”, not happy. Wants the son to move out, but he won’t, on some pretext or another.
Sleeps head to W3, yes in the plan appears W2 but the house is in a curved building not visible here, so the wall is W3. I checked & re-checked. His personal Tian Yi using advanced 8 Mansions Na Jia formula. Location in the SW sector of the house. No issue here, but room not the best 8 mansions, granted.
Kitchen in the West. (Issue#1) and the stove sits West in both the small & big ta-chi plus faces the East 2 which Is great for both the father & son.
My observations:
Now I have seen this a couple of times earlier, once in the previous month as well, so it came to me quickly. The solution was simple.
Get a spiritual person from your own culture/faith/religion to free the spirit. In India, we call it Aatma Shanti Puja, a ritual to give the soul peace.
Anyhow, I still gave the Xuan Kong da Gua activations as I felt fit for the situation and did what I had to do, feeling pretty useless for once.
Soon, I got a message saying they had “bumped into an Indian priest” who agreed to do this puja.
Long Story short, last night I got a message saying, they found a new house for the dad to move into, while the son would live in the family home. The puja seemed to have worked well, things were better now and the energy had lifted and improved. Apparently the priest said it was a hard job, and even getting rid of her personal effects was a challenge (don’t know the exact detail) Also during the puja, a water activation burst and flooded the house, making the dad really upset feeling that he was disturbing the soul who did not want to leave. He has settled down now.
So how many of you believe this can happen, or have experienced this sort of thing? Do share your experiencesI happen to have a large client-base in USA. The most unfortune part that cannot be solved in most of the homes, is a staircase in the central palace. Time and time again, you see the central palace obstructed or impaired with the stairwell, or an elevator in one case for an Arthritic Granny. And what can one do? Nothing!
Now who does the central palace impact?
Issue: heart, head, health and Anger
Now even in the Indian version of Feng Shui that’s called Vaastu, we maintain that the central palace also known as Brahamasthaan, should be kept light or unencumbered. Just saying, its not only a Chinese thing.
So what to do?
We need to identify the issue that comes from any of the following situations by checking if the Central palace has:
1.A staircase
2.An Elevator,
3.A toilet,
4.A laundry room,
5.A dishwasher,
6.A kitchen,
7.A stove,
8.An area active due to multiple doorways,
9.The main door
10.Or entering the home from garage right into the central palace.
11.A Stove in a central island even if it is not in the center of the home, but by virtue of being in the center of the kitchen can prove as problematic
12.A water feature in the central palace.
Now, defining the central palace is another conundrum and I will not degenerate into that side discussion as that’s another topic for another day.
If any of the above relates to you, you have an issue. Arguments, general feeling of disorientation, health & money lost or wasted or an inability to save.
Lets look at a solution:
If possible, don’t use the upper floor so the staircase is then not used. That’s really impractical I know, but if it’s just one or two people, it is possible.
If it’s a stove issue, its easy: Move the stove or don’t use the offending one and get a new induction stove and plug it in immediately solving their pain.
If there is a water body, drain it.
If there is an elevator, switch it off.
If dishwasher, then re-locate.
Ideally, one needs to move out of such a home. Everything you do needs to fixate on finding a home with the central palace at peace.
There are exceptions, though. If the central palace is big and wide and the Qi can breathe and circulate, then its less negative. These are more like air wells than trapped Qi in central palaces.
Somehow, if the facing and central palace are merged into one large spacious palace, it is not too bad. It is when the central palace is squeezed that’s when there is an issue.

These aspects were visible just from google maps:
1.Shar Qi coming to North East from the gate that leads into the community, every single car that enters comes from here with the road straight creating a sharp “poison arrow” or Sha Qi at the house. In Period 8 that is not helpful, more so as the owner is a Gua 8, and the North East is the Natal Palace of Gua 8.
2.Main Door in Direct Spirit. The main door in the North East is what I suspect the basis on which the house was selected, as it’s a Vaastu requirement, water in the North East or lower ground at least. In Feng Shui however, Direct spirit (NE) should be a passive sector and not so active. It never works no matter what fabulous combination of flying stars you may have at the door.
I did not bother to check anything else or the internals and am sure there was a lot more of a mess inside, since they had Vaastu (Indian version of Feng Shui) approval that disregards Gua and gives generic directions, sometimes by just looking at where the sun rises to figure orientation, without even using a compass, (I swear I have witnessed that, no disrespect to the subject, just some lousy exponents) and since they were not living there, it was irrelevant.

When you see something like this in the landforms you know it’s going to be a prosperous neighbourhood.
So what’s the good part? See the mountain in the distance? That is a Huge Door Mountain, and that classic shape denotes that you don’t really need to receive Qi from here to be benefitted, you ned to just be around to soak in the prosperity, sat on the mountain or visible to you is enough.
However, as in the case of this extremely expensive & prosperous hotel, the main entrance or Qi Mouth was in the SW, it had a pool in the North to coagulate the Qi from the ocean, and the whole building faced the East with the water of the ocean in the East, plus it was in a bay so the onslaught of the ocean, which can sometimes prove to be Sha Qi, was calmed down to an acceptable degree.
No doubt that the homes here are in the range of 15m and above, this is Laguna Beach, California.
It’s really disheartening when you walk into a fabulous home from any angle, travertine floor, his and hers walk in closet and a master bedroom the size of a football field, a kitchen to die for, plus plus plus other aspects not relevant to this post, and have to tell the client they can’t live there.
So what makes a property acceptable or unacceptable?
In this particular case, the usual requirements ticked off. Door in Indirect Spirit, pool in southwest, also Indirect Spirit , bedrooms in auspicious sectors, central palace clean all obstructions, all of that seemed okay from the GPS images the client had shared with me earlier.
In fact I had approved the purchase on the representation of the client & the data she sent me, (much of it inaccurate I have to say, which I discovered after I reached there)
Upon my actual visit to this property somewhere in USA:
What threw me, once I actually visited the property, was that there was a mountain on the South West sector and the main entrance door was on a death and emptiness line.
Not just the main door but the entire building and in this perfectly constructed structure; each and every door were on death and emptiness lines. Stove included.
It’s hard to rectify so much DE, but let is say we can actually get a carpenter in to tilt the doors by a couple of degrees, we still have to deal with the stove, and the main building alignment, which cannot be ignored.
But this was the deal breaker:
There is a mountain range that runs across NW, W and SW.
And that is the issue.
The Solution I suggested:
So you cant stay there, but one cannot walk out, without doing anything so the client decides to sell the place. The client had anyway put it on the market, in case they got an exceptional offer, and in a vibrant market where most homes were selling fast and way above the asking, this property remained unsold.
I placed water using Xuan Kong Da Gua methods, while I was there, in order to sell the property fast, as it was not suitable to live in. A couple of weeks later it was still unsold so I suggested that they drain the water and I gave a new dates to re fill the water and was able to find a date that also included the clients clash (good for separation from your asset) and combination of month of clients BaZi with the day plus the clients Indirect Wealth just happened to be present in the year.
This worked and it was Sold in a week at asking.
I told them not to wait for a higher bid but to let it go.
Why? They asked and you may feel, that in a fast moving market, what was the hurry?
Well the DE line slows down everything so when at a disadvantage take what you get and asking price means it’s not a compromise.
The lesson here is sometimes one needs to understand the shortcomings of the matter and move accordingly.
